The girls softball team lost to Bethel Park 8-7 Tuesday after a heartbreaking grand slam late in the game caused Baldwin to lose its shot at being the outright section champions. Instead, a win today and they will become co-champions.

Junior Isabella Rossa said Tuesday’s game won’t affect today’s result.

“They loaded the bases and got lucky and hit a grand slam late in the game and we couldn’t recover,” Rossa said.

The team is really pumped to play today’s game against Canon-McMillan for the chance to be co-section champions, Rossa said.

“We are really excited to play today’s game and hopefully be section champs for the second straight year,” she said.
