Baldwin’s battle bots had mixed results Friday and Saturday at a competition at California University.

This was Baldwin’s first time having both an offensive and defensive bot. El Sol, the defensive bot, won two fights but lost the last fight because its wheels were not functioning properly.

“Overall it was a good experience. We can come up with new design ideas for next year,” sophomore Alex Kindling said.

The offensive bot called Will it Blend? lost each of its flights, due to the team’s lack of experience with making offensive battle bots.

“Will it Blend? Lost every fight because it couldn’t move and we were rushing too finish it,” Kindling said.

Although the teams will not be competing in finals, they continue to focus on the positives by creating new designs for their future battle bots.
