The boys baseball team was able to pull out a huge comeback victory Wednesday over Upper St. Clair by a score of 12-8.

After scoring three runs early, Baldwin allowed seven runs to face an early deficit. Then came the seventh inning. Baldwin scored to tie the game at seven thanks to a suicide squeeze from junior Kory Tierney.

“It was big and got us tied at seven,” senior Peter Griener said.

Sophomore Andy Sopata came up big for Baldwin adding two hits and driving in the tying run in the seventh.

The Highlanders eventually won in in the ninth inning to improve their section record to 4-4 and their overall record to 8-5.
