The boys volleyball turns back the clock in a game against Thomas Jefferson tonight.

The Highlanders were rivals with T.J. in the 1990s, but after WPIAL volleyball expanded, the two teams ended up in different classifications. Tonight the two teams face off in a non-section game, so Coach Eric Falcione decided to make the event fun by incorporating some ‘90s elements.

Baldwin players will be wearing special jerseys modeled after the ones worn by the 1996 Baldwin WPIAL championship team. Also, the game will be played in the small gym, because that was the main gym back in the ‘90s, before the school was remodeled.

Senior Chris Collins said he is excited to play in this special game.

“It is a really cool experience for our team and for myself,” Collins said. “It will be fun to play where our program started.”

The game starts at 7:30 p.m.
