First Ed Sheeran taught addition and then multiplication. Now teaching his audience how to “Divide”.
Although somewhat similar to his previous albums, “Divide” is a soothing blend of acoustic vibes and Sheeran’s astonishing voice.
The album highlights Sheeran’s skills on his guitar, as most of the songs have some sort of solo of him serenading his fans.
“Shape of You” and “Castle on the Hill” are the commonly known songs by the average teenager. Both songs have catchy tunes but are overplayed on the radio.
The album closer “Supermarket Flowers” pulls at the listener’s heartstrings as he retells the story of his grandmother’s funeral service.
Sheeran’s musical history lesson is both well timed and dynamic. “Divide” is yet again another example of Sheeran’s still-evolving craft.
