Gymnastics team members said they would be looking to improve scores for states after a disappointing WPIAL performance on Saturday in which no one placed.
The girls have a pair of three-hour practices this week in preparation for their final competition of the year, which is states this Saturday at Moon High School. Baldwin competes in the silver division.
The team’s main focus is to sharpen their beam skills.
Sophomore Haili Cordell said she is working to place in the state meet.
“I am trying to be in the top six,” she said.
Senior Jordan Hoydick and junior Hanna Kalwarski are expected to contribute high scores to the team as they have all season, Cordell said.
