The girls’ basketball team won its last game of the season on Saturday, defeating Thomas Jefferson.

This was not a section game but “it was important to us to win our last game,” senior Lauren Gilbert said.

The Highlanders did not make the playoffs this year. However, the team played well on Saturday, she said.

“Abby Larkin played very well. She was a person who stood out from the rest of the team,” Gilbert said.

T.J. is one of Baldwin’s biggest rivals and “we were happy. It was a good way to end the season,” Gilbert said.
