Four Baldwin gymnasts placed in the Moon Invitational on Saturday as the Highlanders placed eighth overall out of 15 teams.

This was the first time this year that the team competed in a meet this big.

Sophomore Mackenzie Sendro placed first on vault; sophomore Haili Cordell placed third on bars; senior Lexi Hoffman placed third on beam and Hannah Kalwarski placed fifth on vault.

“I really enjoyed the experience getting to be able to compete with so many schools,” Kalwarski said.

Saturday’s event “makes us want to work harder for States,” senior Jordan Hoydick said.

The Baldwin gymnastics team’s next meet is at home against Moon Township this Friday.
