The boys varsity hockey team had a rough third period and lost to Char Valley on Thursday, 6-5.

The team had a 5-2 lead going into the third period. Char Valley scored three to tie it, and then won the game in the final two minutes.

Senior Paul Knerr and junior Nick Antoinio scored two goals each while sophomore Lucas Kirk scored one goal for the Highlanders.

“We fell off our game and lost focus in that last period,” Kirk said.

Kirk said the team needs to stay focused during their games and always apply their best effort.

The team’s next game is on Monday night against South Park.
