After splitting two games in their season-opening tournament, the girls basketball team will face McKeesport tonight.

The team lost against North Hills on Friday, 56-58, and won against Sewickley Academy by 12 points on Saturday.

“We had a good defense and pushed the ball in transition,” senior Abby Barr said of the team’s performance on Saturday.

Standout players on Saturday included senior Lauren Gilbert and sophomore Jess Remlinger, Barr said.

The focus tonight against McKeesport will be on defense.

“We need to work on being aggressive and talking on defense,” Barr said.
