The run for the girls volleyball team has ended with a 3-2 loss in the PIAA quarterfinals against Garnet Valley over the weekend.

The girls jumped out to a 2-0 lead on Saturday, winning the sets 25-17 and 25-21. However, the girls lost their momentum and dropped the last three sets, resulting in a loss.

Senior Erin Ferrari commended Garnet Valley for their performance.

“They had a really nice offense,” Ferrari said. “We ran out of steam and they took advantage of that.”

Although the season is over, Ferrari believes the future of the program is in good hands.

“The program is going in the right direction,” Ferrari said. “There are many underclassmen who will contribute to the team.”

Ferrari said freshmen Allison Murray and Mia Hampsay, as well as juniors Bri Phillips and Brenna Green, will contribute to the future success of the girls volleyball team.
