The girls volleyball team won in straight sets Tuesday night against Moon during the Highlanders’ senior recognition night.

Senior Madison Sgattoni recorded multiple kills in the match. She in turn commended the rest of the team for its efforts.

“Our defense has improved a lot throughout the season,” Sgattoni said.

The girls have an away game against Bethel Park Thursday night. If they win, they have a chance of becoming section champions for the third consecutive year.

“We lost the last time we played them, but we haven’t lost a game since then,” Sgattoni said. “We expect to win and defend our title.”
