Coming off two tough losses, the girls volleyball team looks to get back on track tonight in a game against Canon-Mac.

Last week the girls lost to Upper St. Clair in the fifth set, 15-12. This week, the team lost to Mount Lebanon in the fifth set, 15-13. Senior Erin Ferrari said Baldwin has the skill and talent to win games like these, as shown by how close the games were.

“I think it’s because we start our momentum too late,” Ferrari said.

The team has been talking about its problems and working on ways to fix them. They have also been trying to be themselves and not define their team in relation to the last two Baldwin volleyball teams, which were both WPIAL champs.

The Highlanders are looking to boost their confidence with a win tonight against Canon-Mac.

“You don’t have to be undefeated to be a WPIAL champion,” Ferrari said.
