The varsity girls tennis team improved its overall record to 7-1 on Thursday with a win against Penn Hills.

The girls continued to dominate as they won in straight sets in the singles and doubles categories once again.

Sophomore Natalie Zgurich is one of the young standouts on the team.

“We are a very young team this year, but it doesn’t seem to affect us on the court at all. We just go out there and play our game with confidence,” Zgurich said.

The team’s next game is against a successful Oakland Catholic team on Monday at home.

“We just have to treat it like any other game. If we do that, we will be pleased with the outcome,” Zgurich said.
