Four Baldwin students in Latin 3 earned awards in the rigorous National Latin Exam.

Sophomore Brenna Green received the Cum Laude award, juniors Luke Scherz and Liam Watterson both received the Magna Cum Laude award, and junior Zach Zovko received the Maxima Cum Laude award.

The National Latin Exam is a 40-question exam broken down by level. It is taken by thousands of students in all 50 states and 19 countries.

Ten Baldwin students in Latin 3 and Latin 4 took the test.

“I am very proud of my students especially because they were able to win an award and they were in a lower level,” Latin teacher Liz Allemang said.
