The track and field team won its co-ed relay meet at Moon on Thursday.

The meet also included a few individual events. Freshman Brendan O’Malley placed first in the long jump with his second-best length yet, winning by seven inches.

“Both the girls and boys who competed did really well to win their relays, and it definitely showed how strong our team is this early in the season,” O’Malley said.

Co-ed relay meets are rare, so the event was special to the teammates who ran those events. The meet gave both genders a chance to compete together against other schools, and it provided a unique team bonding experience.

“It brought us closer together,” sophomore Alina Stahl said.
