The boys volleyball team opens up its regular season at home tonight against Central Catholic.

The boys had a tournament over the weekend at Norwin. Junior Luke Scherz said the team did poorly, but the tournament “warmed us up for the start of the season.”

Baldwin beat Central Catholic last year, and the boys are hoping for a good beginning to the season.

Scherz predicted that senior Peter Wright would play well for the Highlanders, as he did at the tournament. Wright is a right-side hitter and he also plays club volleyball, Scherz said.

“He’s going to come out and shine,” Scherz predicted.
