The softball team begins its season today as they host Carrick at 4 p.m.

Senior Ana Hale returns today after missing all of last season recovering from a knee injury.  Hale will be the starting pitcher in today’s game.

“It will be good to get Ana back because she can really help make the team even better,” senior Jaime Schleicher said.

The team returns key players such as seniors Schleicher, Hale, and Ashley Brady, juniors Katie Knezevich and Sam Wampler, and sophomores Carly Santillo and Taylor Dadig.

“With everyone returning, we should be pretty strong,” Schleicher said.

After winning section last season over Bethel Park and Canon Mac, the players believe they can be better than last year and it all starts today.
