 The girls basketball team defeated Thomas Jefferson in a non-section match up on Friday, 60-47.

Standouts were junior Lauren Gilbert with 23 points, senior Carly Lutz with 16 points, and senior Alex Barr with 11 points.

“It was a good confidence boost going into this week because we need to win from here on out,” Gilbert said.

The girls host Moon Township in a section game tonight. It is a must-win to clinch a playoff spot.

Tonight is also Senior Recognition night for their five seniors: Lutz, Kayla McCormick, Emma Ranft, Barr, and Barbara Spegar.
