The seniors dominated the second half of the Powder Puff game on Thursday night, rolling to a 26-8 win.
The game marked the return of a Baldwin tradition that was not held last year, due to a lack of coaches.
This year, social studies teacher Dave Dunaway and substitute teacher Kim Heinauer coached the juniors. But their help was not enough to counter the attack brought by the seniors, who were coached by physical education teacher Chris Crighton and some football players.
The juniors took an early lead, but could not hold on.
“The juniors were winning in the first half, and the seniors got really motivated to win during halftime,” junior Ashley Covelli said. “That’s why we lost.”
Senior Kadin Hinish agreed.
“In the second half, we came together as a family and motivated each other,” Hinish said.
Hinish credited the offensive and defensive lines for fueling the comeback. Also helping the seniors was Maddie Becker, who snagged an interception.
