American Sniper
American Sniper shows the harsh reality of war, and what soldiers are exposed to while on tour.
American Sniper, Clint Eastwood’s most recent film, stars Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle, and portrays real-life events that happened in Kyle’s life.
The movie is emotional and riveting as it leads the viewers through Navy Seal Kyle’s three tours of service in the military and the time in-between.
Viewers watch as Kyle battles post-traumatic stress disorder, the death of friends, and the shots he had to take as a sniper in the Middle East.
Although the main components of the movie are amazing, like Cooper’s performance of Kyle, some scenes seem elongated and unnecessary. Also the film lacks character development for characters other than the protagonist. When a character dies, viewers still feel bad because that was actually a real person being killed, but it doesn’t bring tears to the eyes because the character is barely known .
All in all, American Sniper is a movie worth seeing and is also a memorable movie, but it is not a movie that will become an instant classic film.
