Eight students and one administrator have been honored with the Highlander Pride Award for leadership.
The student winners are Alexandra Barr, Megan Costantino, Alana Martucci, Mallory O’Brien, Ryan Peji, Jacob Proto, Sara Roberto, and Trent Thieret. The staff winner was Vice Principal John Saras.
Roberto said she was “very surprised” to hear that she won. She was nominated by history teacher Chris Reilsono and English teacher Dr. Dan Harrold.
“I think I won for stepping up to solve problems in group work,” Roberto said.
The winners will be honored March 19.
