Baldwin’s Marvel Rivals team remains undefeated after beating Muhlenberg High School 2-0 on Thursday.
Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 shooter game featuring Marvel characters, where the teams face off in a best-of-three competition.
Senior Zachary Czapko said the Highlanders had the upperhand for the duration of the game.
“We got a lot of moments that we definitely took a little bit of arrogance to, because we were really doing well all game,” Czapko said.
Junior Luke Linden was a standout player this game for his ability to cause the other team damage, Czapko said.
“He annoyed the healers and it led to the enemies not being able to sustain a lot of their frontline damage,” Czapko said. “We were able to just overwhelm them.”
Czapko believes the team has made a lot of improvements since last year.
“We’ve figured out our communication problem. We’ve basically got everything under control,” he said.
Baldwin’s next game on Thursday will be against Canon-Mac, the only other undefeated team in the league.
“If we beat them, we’ll be the only undefeated team,” Czapko said.
