Throughout the 2025 WNBA season, the top four draft picks – Paige Bueckers, Dominique Malonga, Sonia Citron, and Kiki Iriafen – have been standouts in the league.
This is the first time since 2014 that the top four picks from the same draft class made the All-Rookie Team. This marks just the seventh time in league history that this has happened.
The four players stood out throughout the season, with all having at least seven points per game. Along with their ability to score in crucial moments, they also possess high intelligence to make plays throughout games.
The No. 1 draft pick for the Dallas Wings, Paige Bueckers, was also named Rookie of the Year. Her outstanding season included scoring 692 points, the third-highest total for a rookie in league history.
The No. 2 draft pick for the Seattle Storm, Dominique Malonga, averaged about 7.7 points and 4.6 rebounds per game and shot about 55.1 percent from the field. While helping her team on the offensive side, she also stood out on defense with 28 blocked shots.
Malonga, at 19 years old, made her mark in the WNBA as the youngest player in the league’s history to record 100 career points.
The No. 3 draft pick for the Washington Mystics, Sonia Citron, led the entire WNBA with shooting 44.4 percent from the three-point line. Sonia averaged about 14.9 points, four rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.
Finally, the No. 4 draft pick for the Washington Mystics, Kiki Iriafen, along with her teammate Citron, helped the team out with an average of 13.3 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Iriafen finished third in rookie scoring and finished in the top five rebounders this season.
Although not all four of the rookies’ teams made the playoffs, they all left an impact on the league and made history in their rookie year.
