The girls volleyball team lost 3-0 to Canon Mac Thursday night.
Junior Addison Troutman said the team could have done better defensively.
“Our blocking was really good,” Troutman said. “But there were a lot of balls that they sent over that we couldn’t get back over the net.”
Canon Mac is highly ranked in the WPIAL, which makes Baldwin’s efforts more impressive, Troutman said.
“We played really well against a high-ranked team,” Troutman said.
Canon Mac did well offensively, making it difficult for Baldwin’s defense to fight back, she said.
“They have really strong hitters, and they were playing really smart, “ Troutman said.
Junior Cameron Bowlus performed well, Troutman said.
“Cameron’s hitting was really strong,” Troutman said. “ She was able to score us a lot of points.”
Troutman said that in the future the team could do better at keeping up morale when they fall behind.
The team’s next game is senior night at home at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
