The girls volleyball team lost 3-0 to Hempfield on Tuesday night.
“It was kind of rough,” junior Hannah Dayoub said. “We were able to stay with them most of the time. We just had trouble keeping the momentum.”
Hempfield capitalized on the girls’ lack of energy last night, she said.
“I feel like our energy was down a bit. We’ve done better. We know what we can do,” Dayoub said.
Hempfield also had some pretty good blocks and placement where the Baldwin girls weren’t, sophomore Chelsey Weber said.
Dayoub plays middle hitter for the team and feels that she has some things to work on as well.
“I think I could have read the set better and used the free balls a little better,” Dayoub said.
Two teammates played well, she said.
“Mia Wyse and Abby Mohring stood out. They got a lot of really good blocks,” Dayoub said.
Overall, the season has been varied for the girls team, with some wins and losses. They still have the rest of their season to improve their weaknesses.
“We have a lot of games this week, so I hope we can get a win at our Dig Pink game,” Dayoub said.
