Atlanta rapper Young Thug, who was just recently released from prison, wasted no time making the album Uy Scuti and putting it out to his fans.
The album contains 20 songs and is 80 minutes long. While this album is on the longer side, the songs within it make the length worth it.
The album includes the single “Money on Money,” featuring Future. This song was released back in April and got fans of Thug to anticipate the new album.
The album name references a red supergiant star, which is one of the largest known stars in the galaxy. Thug metaphorically compares himself to this star, implying that he has a large influence and is well known in the rap industry.
Notable features from the album besides Future include 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, and Ken Carson.
The flow between Carson and Thug on “Yuck” is undeniably one of the better parts of this album. It is nice to see the two collaborate, as Carson has been gaining traction as a rapper in the past few years.
The hit tracks of this album are “Walk Down,” “Pipe Down,” and “Yuck.” 21 Savage and Thug have a history together, so it was nice to hear both of their vocals on “Walk Down.”
As a whole, the album sounds great considering it was released just about a year after Thug was declared free from prison. The features are a good selection to highlight Thug’s sound, and overall help the album succeed.
