The girls lacrosse team lost 15-4 at Moon on Friday.
Senior Aliza Very said the offense struggled during the game.
“I think our offense just needed to work on moving, like not staying stationary,” she said.
Though the Highlanders lost, they did play some strong defense, Very said. Specifically, she said, senior Milana Winowich “was really playing hard against everybody, and was really being a standout player.”
The team has had to overcome some challenges this season, Very said, especially because of numerous injuries on the team.
“A lot of players got hurt in the middle of the season, so we didn’t really have that many subs, which definitely affected us,” Very said.
Despite this, the team has improved since the start of the season, she said. In the future, they plan to continue recruiting more players.
The team’s next game is today at home against Shaler.
