Baldwin girls lacrosse lost to Plum 17-7 on Wednesday.
Plum scored first and held their lead throughout the game, but Baldwin stayed determined.
“Our coach said not to have our heads down,” freshman Malak Bououdina said. “Coach told us to leave everything we have on the field.”
Bououdina said even though the Highlanders lost, they still had fun playing.
Senior Aliza Very said the team had strong draws.
“We won most of the draws, which helped us get the ball down field,” Very said.
Very says she was impressed with freshman Kenzie Morgan
“She was constantly blocking goals and was really loud in goal, which helped us know where the ball was,” Very said.
Both Bououdina and Very agree the team needs to work on defense.
Because of this loss, Baldwin needs to win the next three section games to make the playoffs, Very said.
The next girls lacrosse game will be a home game against Peters Township on Wednesday.
