The baseball team lost 10-5 to Thomas Jefferson on Wednesday.
Sophomore Cooper Sturges said that Thomas Jefferson’s success at the plate made the difference in the game.
“TJ’s pitching and fielding was okay. Their main strength was their hitting,” Sturges said.
Baldwin fell behind quickly with a slow start to their game. The Jaguars led 10-0 by the end of the third inning, although Baldwin chipped away at the lead as the game went on.
The Highlanders had some good moments at the plate, despite the loss. Sophomore Aiden Robinson was a standout on the team.
“Aiden Robinson had a good game. He went three for three,” sophomore Matthew Musial said.
Moving forward in the season, Musial said the team needs to work on how they start off the game.
The Highlanders were originally scheduled to play South Park today, but that game has been canceled due to weather.
