Softball team soundly defeated Peters Township 21-2 on Thursday in Baldwin’s first section game of the season.
Junior Reese Temme said the Highlanders did a great job at the plate.
“Every girl had at least one hit. That brought in all our runs without any homers,” Temme said.
Senior Gabby Jaquay and junior Jordan Gerendash stood out for Baldwin.
“Both of them hit great with multiple doubles,” Temme said. “Everyone did a really good job at getting on base to be able to get runs in.”
Freshman pitcher Camryn Temme, meanwhile, threw a complete game.
“She pitched really well, pretty much shutting down their lineup,” Temme said.
The team plays three more section games this week.
“This week’s section games will be very telling,” Temme said. “We face TJ tonight and that is one of the biggest games of the season.”
The Highlanders play TJ away at 4 p.m.
