The Baldwin boys tennis team lost to Shaler, 4-1, on Tuesday.
Junior Kelson Kleinhampl said the Titans make some strong shots.
“They hit a lot of alley shots,” Kleinhampl said.
Moving forward, the Highlanders can work on their mindsets.
“Our biggest thing was that we kind of lost against ourselves,” Kleinhampl said. “Our mindset was not great, but our playing was decent.”
Junior Carter Smeal was a standout player, making a comeback that energized the team and showcased his resilience on the court.
“Carter made a huge comeback,” junior Nikita Petruk said.
Petruk said he also played well but acknowledged that there’s room for improvement.
The team’s next game is at home at 3:30 p.m. today against Allderdice.
