The Gin Blossoms have been around for almost 40 years, and over those years, they have created some of the most-known albums in alternative rock.
The Gin Blossoms’ musical style is a combination of rock and upbeat sounds, while their lyrics are catchy and tell relatable stories about people’s lives.
One of their most popular albums is 1992’s New Miserable Experience, which features the song “Hey Jealousy.” It explains some of the complexities of a relationship and its ebbs and flows as people grow and learn – and how because of this, strife can arise in the relationship.
Most of the songs in the album are about life experiences, aging, and looking back at the years past. The song “Allison Road” looks back at teenage years and the regret that comes with age. “Found Out About You,” meanwhile, is about the pain of finding out from other people that a partner has cheated.
