Over the past four days, 16 teams advanced to the next round of the March Madness college basketball tournament.
Unlike other years, most of the top teams in the tournament have been dominating throughout the first two rounds.
One of those teams is the Duke Blue Devils, led by star freshman Cooper Flagg, as their first two wins in the tournament were by 20-plus points.
Moving forward, in the east region, the Blue Devils will have a tough matchup against Arizona and their experienced guard, Caleb Love. Both teams offensively can score many points and can shoot the three, so this game should be an all out battle until the end, but expect Duke to come out on top.
Another great upcoming game, from the Midwest region, will feature the Tennessee Volunteers
versus the Kentucky Wildcats.
Both teams are coming off of a great Round of 32 win, and have been very hot during the tournament. These teams know each other very well, as Kentucky came out victorious against them two times in the regular season.
But the third time will be the charm for Tennessee, and expect them to move on to the Elite Eight.
From the south region, Ole Miss will face off against the Michigan State Spartans, which should be a well fought game from both teams.
While Ole Miss shoots at an above-average three-point percentage, the Spartans are at the bottom of the country when it comes to three-point percentage. With Ole Miss coming off an unexpected win against the North Carolina Tar Heels, expect Ole Miss to upset the Spartans and move on to the Elite Eight.
From the West region, an unexpected team has made it to the Sweet Sixteen by beating the number two seed in St. John’s – the Arkansas Razorbacks. They will face off against the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
John Calipari is the Razorbacks’ coach. He has much experience and has been to the tournament multiple times, and he has changed his way of coaching from focusing on freshman talent to now having more experienced players. Expect the Razorbacks to shock the Red Raiders and move on to the Elite Eight.
The Sweet Sixteen games will start at 7:09 p.m. Thursday, with the Alabama Crimson Tide going against the BYU Cougars.
