Baldwin’s Marvel Rivals esports team has a 3-1 overall record after defeating Northgate High School 3-0 on Thursday.

Head Coach Nathan Elias applauded the team’s efforts.
“I thought the team did well. They were able to coordinate the ultimate abilities well this week,” Elias said. “We definitely comboed better than we have done in previous weeks.”
Junior Zach Czapko said the win has the team in high spirits, and he praised the teamwork.
“Our confidence is pretty high, and this win is keeping the morale in good shape,” Czapko said. “We did a really good job as a team, staying together, and using our ultimates correctly.”
The team will continue to work to improve.
“The team still needs to work on communications and making sure that their communications are helpful to the rest of the team,” Elias said.
Czapko wants to be aware of the skills of their future competitors, to help with preparing and strategizing before the match.
“I’m going to study as much as I can about the upcoming opponents – how they play, who they play, and how they’ve done so far,” Czapko said.
The team’s next match will be determined on Monday.
