The Baldwin esports Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team won its first match of the season on Wednesday, defeating Trinity’s B team.
Freshman Max Bellas was confident the team would win to start the season.
“I feel good about how we played. We have areas to improve a little bit, but overall it was a great start to the season,” Bellas said.
Bellas cited freshman Christian Hritz as one of the key players in the match.
“Christian Hritz played well. He is very versatile with his characters, so he can adapt to different situations,” Bellas said.
Bellas also credits the whole team for coming together for the victory.
“The team did well strategically putting in the order and fighting smart. We can definitely boost some areas, but we did well for our first match,” Bellas said
The date and opponent of the team’s next match has yet to be determined.
