The “weakest hunter” returns stronger than ever in Solo Leveling’s second season.
Solo Leveling is an anime based on the Korean manhwa, which has the same name. Season one ended off showing Igris, Sung Jin-Woo’s strongest shadow soldier at the time, bowing to him. The second season picks up on this, showing him exiting the dungeon where he found Igris.
So far, season two has shown him drastically getting stronger, facing monsters he couldn’t even imagine going against in the past. He also has many new additions to his shadow army.
There have also been some new changes to his social status, as many top guilds are now aware of his strength and want to hire him.
A-1 Pictures has also yet again done the manhwa justice with the animation and fight scenes shown in season two. The studio paces the second season well, animating five or six chapters per episode.
The voice actors do just as well as they did in season one, making sure to bring each character to life. The second season also offers good suspense.
However, there are also some negatives to the series. The intro and closing music are both below average, and, season two leaves out a crucial moment that shows how Sung is slowly losing his morals.
Despite the few negatives, it is still worth watching for viewers who enjoy action and powerful protagonists. Viewers can find it on Crunchyroll, The Roku Channel, YouTube, and Amazon Prime.
