The Baldwin bowling team’s record improved to 9-0 on Wednesday, as Canon-Mac forfeited and the teams bowled informally for their personal statistics.
With Baldwin’s perfect record, the team is ranked number 1 in the section, guaranteeing them a spot in regionals. The WPIAL playoffs, meanwhile, are set to start Feb. 12 at Mount Lebanon, consisting of the top 30 teams in Western Pennsylvania.
One Baldwin player who bowled well during the session was senior Jonathan Clemons.
“Jon stood out with his 600-plus pin series in the three games,” senior Nico Puglin said.
The Highlanders took advantage of the extra time to practice consistency and teamwork, senior Kelson Kleinhampl said.
Their next match is Wednesday against Carlynton at Nobel Manor bowling lanes.
