The Baldwin boys basketball team defeated Thomas Jefferson 67-50 at home at Tuesday.
Senior Gabriel Barakat thought Baldwin played a solid game.
“I thought we played good defense,” Barakat said. “We also did a good job running our offensive plays.”
Junior Max Marzina agrees that the team played well on defense.
“We contained their best players and we didn’t let them get easy shots,” Marzina said.
Barakat thought senior Nate Wesling was a standout player.
“Nate had a good game and shot the ball well,” Barakat said.
The team spread out the scoring with four different players in the double digits with points. Baldwin ramped up their energy after losing the first quarter.
“We just missed easy shots in the first quarter that we didn’t miss the rest of the game,” Marinza said.
Marzina thought he did a good job getting the ball into transition. Barakat was also satisfied with the way he played.
“I thought I played well on defense,” Barakat said. “I was also able to move the ball well on offense.”
The team’s next home game is at 7:30 p.m. Thursday against South Allegheny.
