The boy’s basketball team defeated Bethel Park 71-55 on Friday night
The team kept high energy throughout the game, eventually leading them to victory, senior Matt Schenk said.
“Our team played very fast, allowing us to score a lot more,” Schenk said. “We also had great defense.”
Bethel put up a good fight, attempting to pressure Baldwin, but was not successful. Baldwin did well matching Bethel’s energy and eventually overpowered them.
“Bethel started out fast and wanted to play us aggressively but couldn’t keep up with our fast pace – especially towards the end,” Schenk said.
Schenk said senior Nate Wesling had a great game, leading Baldwin’s offense.
“He built us some energy,” Schenk said.
The team plans on working on starting more aggressively to set the tone for the rest of the game, Schenk said.
The next game is at home Tuesday against TJ.
