Baldwin’s wrestling team lost to Mt. Lebanon on Wednesday, 46-23.
The loss drops the team’s record to 0-3.
Sophomore Michael Griffiths said many members of the team competed well.
“A good majority of the team made weight and wrestled well,” Griffiths said.
The team also has things to work on.
“We could improve on stamina and our overall commitment towards the team,” Griffiths said.
Even though Baldwin lost as a team, senior Ramil Islamov, Baldwin’s all-time victories leader, won his match. Islamov, meanwhile, said that Griffiths stood out during the match.
“He looked pretty good, and he’s starting to get a lot better, ” Islamov said. “He was able to keep the tempo up pretty well.”
Baldwin goes to Bethel Park for another section matchup next Wednesday.
