Baldwin’s boys basketball team dominated Ringgold with a 72-22 win on Tuesday.
The Highlanders outplayed Ringgold in every quarter, never letting their foot off the gas.
“We played our pace – which is fast – which helped us score more,” junior Gavin Sakely said. “We won each quarter by at least 10 points.”
The Highlanders plan on continuing that aggressive and fast style of play to earn more high-scoring wins, Sakely said.
A key player in the blowout win was senior Caden Cherico.
“He led us in efficiency with a lot of solid rebounds,” Sakley said.
Sakely said he was relieved by this win after the Highlanders’ recent loss to South Fayette.
“It feels good for the boys to be back after a tough loss,” Sakely said.
The team’s next game is at Bethel Park at 5:30 p.m. Friday.
