Pop singer Justin Timberlake performed an amazing concert at PPG Paints Arena on Saturday.
The Forget Tomorrow World Tour set out to highlight Timberlake’s newest album, Everything I Thought I Was. While this was accomplished, it was also successful in highlighting his classics.
Timberlake opened with “No Angels,” a single from his newest album. After this he proceeded into a mashup of some of his hits from other albums, such as “Like I Love You” and “My Love.”
Throughout the concert, Timberlake showed off his impressive dancing skills. He not only has great dance moves himself, but his backup dancers add to the whole hype of the show.
The Tennessee Kids, Timberlake’s band, brings his music to another level. They play a wide range of instruments, from the guitar to the piano to the saxophone.
The stage itself had some interesting features.
A large part of the screen moved out from the rest of the screen. It could be tilted in many ways to create different effects. The last song started with a wall falling and Timberlake appeared on top to sing “Mirrors.”
There was also a mini-stage on the opposite side of the venue that doubled as a bar for people in the pit. Timberlake made his way there and back while greeting fans. While there he performed a few songs and connected with the audience.
The only downside of the concert was the opening act. Coming before such an impressive performance by Timberlake, the DJ, Andrew Hypes, was hard to appreciate.
Despite a lame opening act, Timberlake more than made up for it with his performance.
