The girls basketball team earned a come-from-behind victory on Thursday against Canon-Mac.
The Highlanders were down 15 points at halftime. But they rallied in the second half, scoring 41 points while holding Canon-Mac to 23. Baldwin won, 55-49.
“We made the comeback by playing good defense, making shots, driving to the hoop and staying disciplined,” sophomore Kelsey Meyer said.
Meyer was impressed with her team’s perseverance.
“Being able to finish and not getting down on ourselves when being down at halftime was great,” Meyer said.
She said the game improved team morale and confidence overall.
“This gives us confidence of playing as a team better,” Meyer says.
Baldwin’s victory improves their overall record to 3-3. Baldwin’s next game is against Peters Township at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Peters High School.
