The Baldwin girls basketball team lost to Penn-Trafford 57-46 on Wednesday.
After five games, Baldwin’s record is 2-3. However, they have yet to play a section game.
Though the team did not win, junior Isabella Niles said the Highlanders played hard. Their defense was good, but their offense could have been better, she said.
“We could’ve gotten more rebounds and made more shots, and we needed to be more offensively aggressive,” she said.
Regardless of the score, some players, such as senior Mary Vargo, stood out.
“She played well, scored well, and hustled a lot,” Niles said.
For the upcoming game, Niles said, the team is going to work on their shooting and offense. Niles said the team hopes to continue improving as the season goes on.
“I hope we can learn from all these mistakes and work to get where we want to be,” she said.
Their next game is a home game at 7:30 p.m. tonight against Canon-Mac.
