There is no better way to start Homecoming Week than with a Senior Auction and ending it with a glorious “W.” The high school’s football team faced Thomas Jefferson tonight going in with a 2-1 record.
School spirit and pride was alive tonight: students’ dedication to the whiteout, chanting “defense” and “hold the line” and storming the field to celebrate with the team.
Dorian Brown led the team with two touchdowns and 278 yards. Tairef Green had one touchdown and Zach DeNardo with the two-point conversion. The final score was 21-14 Baldwin.
“No one believed in us,” Senior Zach DeNardo said as the team gathered after the win.
After tonight’s victory, the Highlander’s can be assured they have gained more believers.
The next game is Friday September 30 at 7:30 pm away at Upper St. Clair.
