Every season of Dancing with the Stars is energetic, full of great pros and their celebrity partners – people who are just genuinely fun to watch. This season shows these attributes and many more.
The finals are tomorrow tonight on ABC. The couples that remain are Danny Amendola, a former NFL player, and Witney Carson; Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik and Rylee Arnold; Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher and Alan Bersten; Bachelor star Joey Graziadei and Jenna Johnson; and lastly, actress and singer Chandler Kinney and Brandon Armstrong.
These couples have gone through the past weeks doing different styles of dances and competing in challenges like the instant dance challenge, where couples are given a song and style of dance and only have a few minutes to come up with and perform a full dance.
The top three with the best judge scores in the past weeks have been Kinney and Armstrong with 322; Graziadei and Johnson with 316, and Nedorosik and Arnold with 300.
But the judges’ scores alone won’t determine who will win the Mirror Ball: The judges’ scores get combined with viewer votes. The viewers are encouraged throughout the show to text a phone number or vote online for their favorite couple.
Overall, the show is entertaining because it follows a format in every episode: There is background footage from rehearsals and interviews before they do their dance, then they dance, then they get critiques from the judges, and lastly they get their scores.
At the end of each episode, one or two couples are usually eliminated. But last week the show eliminated none, which means there are more couples in the finals than usual.
The two celebrities who have shown the most improvement have been Maher and Nedoroscik. But Kinney and Graziadei came into the competition with the most experience and have been the most successful from the beginning.
Overall, Graziadei and Johnson should be the couple to win because he has shown his technique getting better and his musicality has been more natural as he has gotten used to doing it weekly.
But it doesn’t matter what couple wins, because this group has been the most entertaining to watch on the show and on their social media accounts.
