Senior Natalie Brown ran into Wiz Khalifa at South HIlls Village on Tuesday. Literally.
Brown said she was Christmas shopping at the mall Tuesday night, and had her head down while she was walking and texting.
“I just ran into this person and dropped all of my stuff,” Brown said. The guy helped her pick up her belongings and she apologized.
“Once I had gotten all of my stuff, I thought, `I know this person,’ ” Brown said. By the time she realized it was Khalifa, he and his family had moved on.
But senior Brandon Eyles knew it was Khalifa when he served the rapper at the mall’s food court.
Eyles was handing out free samples for South Philly Steaks and Fries, where he works, when Khalifa walked up for a sample and asked Eyles which restaurant in the food court was best.
“I told him Steaks and Fries, obviously,” Eyles said.
“He was chill. He was very nice,” Eyles said.
While Khalifa was eating at the food court, his sister took a picture of him and his son and posted it on her Instagram. Eyles heard about the photo, went to look at it, and found that he was in the background of the photo, cleaning at the restaurant.
“Best photo bomb of 2014,” Eyles said.
