The Baldwin hockey team lost to Cathedral Prep 4-1 on Thursday night.
Junior Nate Buys said Cathedral Prep really capitalized on Baldwin penalties.
“They scored two power play goals, which really hurt us because we were playing hard and smart when it was 5v5,” Buys said.
Buys said Cathedral Prep pushed the tempo throughout the game.
“They played fast the whole game and were constantly pushing the puck,” Buys said.
Despite the loss, Buys found some positives from the game.
“We came out strong by scoring first and playing good defense when we were at full strength,” Buys said.
Freshman Timmy Bush scored Baldwin’s lone goal.
Buys said there are things to clean up on as the team progresses through the season.
“We can improve on our offensive zone chances and get more shots on goal,” Buys said.
The Fighting Highlanders will take on Canon McMillan on Tuesday, Nov. 19 in an away game at Printscape Arena.
