Agatha All Along is a Marvel mini-series that follows Agatha Harkness three years after the conclusion of Wandavision.
At the end of Wandavision, Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, trapped Agatha in her own head, making her believe that she was a detective for the following three years. Having broken out of the trance at the start of Agatha All Along, Agatha gathers a group of four witches to join her coven and gain access to the Witches’ Road.
While some Marvel fans were skeptical of the series, the support Agatha All Along has received since its release has been overwhelmingly positive, and for good reason.
It is difficult to incorporate a non-linear plot into a show, let alone having it mix with linear storytelling. Yet the show has taken it in stride, creating a beautifully crafted plot.
This combination is best showcased in episode seven, “Death’s Hand in Mine,” when it is revealed that Lilia Calderu, a divination witch, has experienced her life out of sequence. Throughout this episode, the audience experiences time as Lilia does, finally giving the audience answers to so many questions.
The finale also includes a non-linear plot. However, the last two episodes left fans with more questions than answers regarding Agatha and her relationship with Rio Vidal.
But despite the final scene, Agatha All Along is a great addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe due its plethora of well developed characters and incredibly engaging plot line.
The show will reportedly be followed by a third series, Vision Quest, which will continue the story of Wanda, Vision, and their sons.
